After School Study Tables

Students of all ability levels sometimes need some additional support in particular class or classes. BRMS provides after school study sessions to help students understand course concepts better, or to provide a quiet place for students to complete homework without distractions. Study tables are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:05-4:15 pm and Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-3:15 in the cafeteria. Parents are responsible for providing transportation home after study tables. Contact Ms. Hedrick for more information about this after school support service.

Boys/Girls Club After School Study Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Rush County is located 1/2 block from BRMS. "The Club" offers students a community wrap-around homework support service. Club staff are available daily to help BRMS students with their after school studies. For more information about this After School Study Program, contact the Boys & Girls Club at (765) 932-2765.

Homework Hotline
For many students, math and science are the most challenging and frustrating subject areas. Rose-Hulman's Homework Hotline, funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc., is a free math and science tutoring service for Indiana students in grades 6-12. The Homework Hotline reinforces mathematics and science concepts and helps students develop better problem-solving skills. Rose-Hulman student tutors have been trained to tutor middle and high school students. Tutors have access to state-adopted math and science textbooks. Students may call the Homework Hotline toll free at 1-877-ASK-ROSE, Sunday through Thursday, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., September through May. Students may also ask questions online at www.AskRose.org. College Planning
It's never too early to start planning for college, and the Twenty-first century scholars program can help. Indiana started Twenty-first Century Scholars in 1990 to ensure that every student can afford a college education. Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars program provides up to four years of undergraduate tuition to income eligible students at participating colleges or universities in Indiana, as well as step-by-step guidance and support to make sure they succeed in college and receive support to finish their degree.To receive the 21st Century Scholarship, students must meet income eligibility requirements and sign up in 7th or 8th grade.
