KLR orientation for our students! These are new programs that we have partnered with KLR. We have students enrolled in the Dental program as well as the Vet program! We can't wait for these students to start this journey!

Next week is our Freshman/New Student Orientation! Orientation begins at 7pm in the Laughlin Center, but doors will open at 6:15pm. From 6:15pm-7pm the Booster Club will be in the Laughlin Center selling memberships as well as all sports passes. During this time, families can also take a self guided tour of the high school. After our presentation in the Laughlin Center Freshman Mentors will be leading guided tours for families. This will include a stop at Technology to pick up Chromebooks. Online registration with the Chromebook assurances must be filled out to receive a Chromebook. New enrollee Chromebooks may not be ready at that time. We look forward to seeing you next week!

Day 1 of training with Amy Abell and her Hope Alight team for elementary and secondary educators went amazing! HUGE thank you to ARC of Rush County for sponsoring lunches for ALL educators for both days!

Here are some important dates coming up for RCHS Students! This year, we are inviting new students to attend our summer orientation! It will be a joint Freshman/New Student Orientation on July 24th. Online registration opens July 16th! Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Registration for Rush County Schools will open in 30 days! Please check out all of our registration dates below: July 16th: Online Registration will be open and available for returning students. Kindergarten Round-Up participants will be able to complete the remainder of their registration on or after this date. July 21st - 25th: Staff will be available in the buildings to take calls regarding registration. July 23rd - 25th: In-person registration will be available. Families new to Rush County Schools will need to call to schedule an in-person appointment.

Recent graduate, Jenna Lawler, is a finalist for Indiana FFA State Officer Spots. She will find out next week at the National Convention. Mr. Cook and Mrs. Meek had a great time and learned SO MUCH at the Early College Summit last week. We were able to get a selfie with Dr. Joe Sanfelippo! He had an incredible message and we are excited for next school year! #LionsLeaveItBetter #gocrickets

During graduation, Mr. Cook led a moment of silence in remembrance of Tanner Harrison. Tanner is a part of this class's journey and will forever live in our hearts. If you remember, we asked for bottle caps last year to be able to create bottle cap benches for classmates we have lost, Tanner Harrison (Class of 2025) and Valerie Tindall (Class of 2024). The benches were on display at graduation. These benches will have plaques added to them for identification and we are working to landscape an area near the school to create a space where students can reflect, gather, and remember. This project was coordinated by Dana Durbin. Carter Barnes, Adrian Apodaca, and Izzy Pavey assisted Dana in carrying out her vision.
