This week's alumni spotlight is Brittnee Hillebrand. She is a 2008 graduate of RCHS and is currently the director of The Porch of Recovery in Rushville, IN. She helps provide resources to individuals with mental health illnesses, substance use disorders, or those living in poverty. Thank you for all your work for the people of Rush County!

RCHS would like to recognize the following students for being selected as WCC Student of the Month over the past few months! Brody Owens-Diesel Technology, Vlad Hylton-Graphic Design, Devin Brown-Precision Machine Technology, Lauren Megee-Education Careers, Preston Williams-Criminal Justice, and Mikayla Herbert-Exercise Science. Congratulations!

Edward Kiwala was the February student of the month by teacher, Brittney Corum. Edward is an exceptional human being! He is always smiling and brings such joy to everyone! Mr. Smith awarded Edward his very own letter jacket as the FIRST EVER student to Letter in Unified Sports! We are so lucky to have Edward as a student. Congratulations!




Jon Todd was selected as RCHS Student of the Month for January. He was nominated by EMT instructor, Bill Hufford (pictured). Bill says that Jon has made a 180 in class, has excelled in Patient Care Technician Course, and Has the highest final Gpa in class with an A. Congratulations!


Coach Z and Coach Tompkins had a meeting this morning at school with interested football players. Even if your student was not able to attend, that is OK! This was an informal information session, like a meet and greet! Please reach out to Coach Z if you are interested!





We are proud to announce our new RCHS Head Football Coach! Coach Rick Zimmerman comes to us from Seymour High School where he was a teacher at JCLC Alternative School and a varsity assistant football coach. Coach Z (as he is called) has been in teaching and coaching for over 38 years. He has been the head football coach at Seeger High School (where he had teams in the top 10 in the state and won the conference 3 years), Jennings County High School and South Decatur High School. Coach Z coached at Hanover College for one year. He also coached in the 2005 North/South All-Star game. Coach Z and his wife Dawn have 2 daughters (Nicole and Kari) and 2 sons (Klint & Keith). They reside in Greensburg. He will also be teaching some PE classes at the high school. Please give Coach Z a warm welcome! We are excited to have you join the Lion family!
