Richard Tracy is our new Fire and Rescue instructor! This is a new program we are offering this year and we are so pleased with how it is going! Mr. Tracy and RCHS Administration would like to THANK the Raleigh Fire Department, Posey Township Fire Department, Rushville Township Fire Department and Rushville City Fire Department. With the donations from those departments and the hard work from Fire Chief Zach Tucker from Posey Township, Mr. Tracy was able to secure structural firefighting gloves, new nomex hoods, life safety rope and Emergency Response Guidebooks. If we had to purchase those on our own, we would have nearly emptied our funds. Thank you so much for helping this program succeed!
Mr. Bottomley was in last week making sure all of our teachers had what they needed for the dual enrollment classes! RCHS offers the Indiana College Core (a block of 30 college credits that are transferred to any Indiana Public University). Thank you Mr. Bottomley for all you do!
Mr. Bottomley was in last week making sure all of our teachers had what they needed for the dual enrollment classes! RCHS offers the Indiana College Core (a block of 30 college credits that are transferred to any Indiana Public University). We partner with Ivy Tech and one of the main benefits is having Mr. Bottomley in the building each Monday. He meets with each student who is on track for the ICC and ensures they have what they need. THANK YOU Mr. Bottomley for all you do!!
SENIORS take an early lead with our attendance rate!! Every student helps and contributes to the attendance scoreboard. Who will be the leaders this week!?
RCHS Administration has updated our attendance goals to better align with Indiana's absence policy. Our goal is for students to be here 96% of the time. There are days that do not count toward those total absent days (please see our student handbook for more information).

As you may know, Indiana state law now requires that schools adopt policies banning wireless devices during instructional time. Our students have been FANTASTIC this week with this new law. You can read our entire cell phone policy on our website under the student handbook. Here are the main points listed in this graphic. Thank you again for your understanding and reminding students of this policy.

Appreciation post for our RCHS Technology Coordinator, Zach Hoeing! We passed out 80 chromebooks at freshman orientation and he worked very hard to ensure we could do that. There were unexpected shipping delays and he made sure that we could still conduct pass out. We are lucky to have him at RCHS! Thank you!
